Features and Benefits

Satinex is a paperlike material which has been continually developed by Tech Folien Ltd over a period of 30 years. Satinex can be manufactured in both PE and PP. The Satinex PP has been developed for use where higher processing temperatures are required.

As a result of a number of years of development work, Tech Folien Ltd are able to provide their customers with a paper like film, which can be marked via laser marking equipment.

The new Laser Mark Satinex will accept the marking, coding and lettering with laser beams emanating from Nd:Yag and CO2 Mask laser equipment. The marking on the film is permanent and impossible to remove without being tamper evident. It therefore offers security benefits for date and traceable coding. For example, when applied to a Satinex label on a container for the pharmaceutical industry, thus obviating the need for a secondary label.

Supplied in a white opaque format, the Laser Mark Satinex film provides a dark contrasting mark that is intense and consistent.

Choice of laser marking equipment determines the amount of information that can be applied. The text, graphics, logos, bar codes etc are computer generated and applied by beam onto the film surface.

No special treatment is required and of course no printing inks are involved. Laser Mark Satinex can be used in a number of applications associated with packaging labels and tags.

Laser marking is an established technology, which is becoming more and more
